Safeguarding
Health & Safety Procedures
We implement at all possible corners a health and safety procedure. This will ensure all staff and children are safe all all times during the time they are in the premises. Below you will find our full Health & Safety procedure.
Complaints
The setting has its own complaints policy and procedures in place. These are to ensure that we deliver a fair and effective nursery environment. We take all complaints very seriously and adhere to follow our policies to the highest standard
Media & Privacy Policy
Our premises are secured 24/7 with CCTV cameras. This means at all times the people’s ins and outs are recorded and stored safely if needed to access for any reason. All children in our care will be visible through these CCTV Cameras so if you as the parent need any information we will provide it happily.
Risk Assessments
Security
Our nursery is fully equipped with CCTV in all the rooms and areas of the setting including the garden area. We have a secure buzzer and entry system that is accessible only to management who will be seeing children in and out of the setting.
Non authorised personnel’s will not be able to collect children unless introduced to staff.
Settling in procedures
All children are required to settle in to our setting before starting their sessions at Just Kids Daycare. This will ensure that the children become familiar with the setting, rooms and keyworkers that they will be in contact with. This gives us practitioners a chance to get to know the children and work to their individual needs and requirements.
Behaviour
We work together to help children grow in a safe and secure environment, we ensure that all children are treated equally, fairly and taught positive behaviour.
Accident & First Aid
All staff are first aid trained and regularly update their knowledge, we take all accidents and incidents very seriously and staff are aware of procedures that need to be carried out.
Allergies & Allergic Reactions
Staff are trained to recognise the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction. We work together to ensure all staff are aware of the children’s individual dietary requirements and specific allergies.
Fire Drills
Medicine, Sickness & Illness
Your child’s care is our top priority here at Just Kids Daycare. Any sickness, illness and medical conditions that your child has we will always cater for and take strict procedures to look after them. It is vital that when you as the parent apply your child to be part of our daycare that you state any illness and medical conditions that they have so we can keep in our records at all times.
